Crossroads Calligraphy®

Description

This is our limited-edition Shadows Calligraphy Art Print – an ethereal, encouraging reminder for when times get a little dark. The background is made up of layers of pastel, applied by hand over a hand-cut stencil. I created this, and a handful of other backgrounds, at a Calligraphy Retreat in 2023 with the Calligraphic Society of Arizona. I used purple, green, yellow, and blue intermittently throughout each layer of pastel as I built them up.

Later, in my studio, I penned the quote in Italic. I took care to arrange the text and place it so that the word “morning” appears in a light spot and the word “shadows” appears in a darker spot of the background. I also placed the text so that the viewer can enjoy the dreamy beauty of the layers of leaves.

The Gloo Factory here in Tucson, Arizona printed this Shadows Calligraphy Art for us. Each print will be carefully packed and shipped in eco-friendly materials. Frame not included; I recommend either gold, black, or dark brown for frame colors.
