Intro to Hand Drawn Lettering

In this 2-part online course, we’ll explore drawing letters that look like calligraphy using a pointed pen script called Copperplate. Learning to draw the letters is a great way to prepare for writing Copperplate script with a dip pen and ink. After this workshop, you’ll be able to use hand lettering to make greeting cards, signs, and personal artwork.

How We’ll Meet

We’re offering the class in morning and evening sessions over Zoom. There will be two 2-hour live sessions and the recordings will be available for two weeks after class. You’ll receive an e-mail from us with an invitation to the meeting and a reminder of what day and time the class is. During the Zoom meeting, you will be able to see both my face and have a great view of my paper. You’ll have the opportunity to ask questions and see plenty of demonstrations. Class size is limited to 10 students for quality of the workshop.
