This calligraphy pen roll features 12 vertical 1-inch wide pockets for pens, pencils, erasers, brushes and even a bone folder! The pen roll has a 1″ wide Velcro closure that overlaps more than enough to keep the roll up pen case securely closed as you travel.
Due to the item being handmade, the brush strokes vary slightly throughout the pen rolls, giving some areas of the text an aged look.

How I Made the Calligraphy Pen Rolls
I learned how to use a brush for writing calligraphy from Loredana Zega. I fell in love with the ghostly strokes and wondered how they would look on fabric!
Using black oil-based printing ink and a flat brush, I painted letters in Italic calligraphy onto muslin.
